After blowing up more TH 700-R4s then I care to remember, I finally gave up on them and went to the TH-400. I decided on a switch pitch version of the TH-400 so that I could still have solid off the line acceleration, thanks to the high stall converter with generous torque multiplication, and have low stall for crusing and freeway use.
